Today’s food based disaster:

I brought a container of cream with me for my tea. I couldn’t find my little container so I put it in a larger drink bottle with a plastic pop on top.
It was afternoon, I was bored and decided I wanted to see if I could make whipped cream, I started shaking it.
Peek to see if it was whipped, top back on, shake it
Repeat
The cream suddenly changed from light almost whipped cream to hard wet butter, hit the pop on top and shot across my desk.

Pictures to follow.

The people around you warn you that you will be hurt in the end and you try to ignore them and believe it is some sort of conspiracy against your happiness.

Then you look into it and realize it may be true.

If I can’t trust my beloved Nalgene water bottles, is anything worthy of my trust?

http://www.thegreenguide.com/doc/114/nalgene

So those of you who have spoken to me in the last week or two have heard my muffin rant (I have a very boring life, I know).

For non initiated: The place I normally get my afternoon muffin recently stopped making their own and have switched to the big cake like muffins and raised the price. This has bothered me because cake muffins are not a snack they are a dessert and because they raised the price on an inferior product.

So I began to make my own muffins and tea to take to work with me. Since I was in the kitchen in the mornings I also started making my own lunch.

My point to all this is I was originally spending a minimum of 14% of my monthly income on these items and now I am spending around 4% (1% of that is on honey).

I would like to start by congratulating Tello. She could now be an official fan girl. I was at the comic shop this weekend and saw that one of her ex-suitors now has a comic book out.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/30/books/review/Donadio-t.html?em&ex=1207108800&en=3c42341da951f2dd&ei=5087%0A

After reading this article it occurred to me that if I met a male who had the same reading habits as I do, I would not date him. I currently have stacks of books about serial killers on my kitchen table and a book about Nazi’s in my backpack. The rest of my reading collection is made up of books about business, prostitutes/geishas/strippers, and cooking. If I met a man like myself I would think he was a financially driven psychopath with an eating disorder.

I was reading an interview with Kurt Vonnegut. This bit stuck out.

"My country is in ruins. So I’m a fish in a poisoned fishbowl. I’m mostly just heartsick about this. There should have been hope. This should have been a great country. But we are despised all over the world now. I was hoping to build a country and add to its literature. That’s why I served in World War II, and that’s why I wrote books."

When ever I think about thinks that are happening or have happened in the past I almost always thing of them in a folklore/myth sort of way. I think this began because when I was little my parents always told my they found me beside a volcano in Hawaii, that the reason I didn’t look like either of them was because I was the child of some sort of tropical fire demon.

As some of you may know, my current car is dead. Last February the engine on my past car blew up as I was serenely puttering down the road. Here is how I see this fact in my head.

The gods are trying to kill me, but they are over scheduled. They write my name of a post-it note with a little note to knock me off before my next birthday but it either gets lost in the sea of yellow notes on their desk wall or woefully falls behind their desk. As my birthday rolls around and the monthly statutes reports are being churned out, they realize that they have forgotten me. Last year in a poorly planned attempt they merely typed “Blow up engine” into the DeathPuter thinking that of flying piston of something would happily impale me. But unfortunately the gods to not tradionally drive or work on vehicles but do watch a lot of TV so they didn’t know that this method might not work.

So this year when they saw the progress report that showed that I was still quite alive they decided to do something much more elaborate ala Casino to do me in (the gods love mob movies). They typed “Huge fierily blaze that incinerates her and release a giant mushroom of smoke and flames to show that we have won” into the DeathPuter. Since Fate couldn’t stop the action it instead broke my car so that I wouldn’t be able to drive anywhere on the day I was supposed to turn into a fireball.

So this may seem like a bit of rambling nonsense but it will end in a hand job question.

I was having a conversation a few days ago about the concept of an Old Soul. The conversation went pretty quickly but later it popped back into my head. Certain concepts kept horsing around in my mind so I decided to look it up and hopefully put an end to the thoughts.

So there were a bunch of spiritual-type websites that spoke of the concept, but I wanted something a bit more concrete and came across the Urban Dictionary (which I love) and was reading their definition.

On the left side of the page they had a brief listing of other phrases that started with Old. One of them was Old Skool Handy:

1.	Old School Handy

To receive a hand job, in old skool style; that is, either in tophand, in a ridiculous setting, or just by being a Handyman overall.

"Hey man, what did you end up doing last night?"

"Oh, I ended up getting an old skool handy...tophand style."

"Nice...."

My question is. What qualifies as a ridiculous setting when it comes to hand jobs?
